thought i'd wait till i get replies from all 3 universities but they're taking so long! w.arwick (which is probably the main reply i'm waiting for) and d.urham haven't squeaked. but i just received my second conditional offer from b.ristol today! (scared they find my blog leh) i need BBB for one course and BBB excluding maths for the other. crap i really don't know if i can get a B for econs and i don't think w.arwick's offer (if they make one) will be any less. scared!

happy fun days :D cycling at west coast park and late lunch today, mad rush with ukulele to celle's dinner. I RECOMMEND ASTONS AT THE CATHAY TO ANYONE WILLING TO QUEUE FOR AN HOUR. the food is good and very reasonably priced! you should probably go with many friends though so you can take turns queueing. yepp. tomorrow looks set to be fun too! hope the rain holds up. then there'll be movie with cherry in the morning and beach frisbee in the afternoon and baking at night. fun fun fun. this is what holidays should feel like, uh huh :D

can't believe prom is over. tailor-made dress served its purpose well (no one had same dress as me!) :P haha i agree with mel, it wasn't as exciting as hoped i suppose. but it was really nice seeing everyong glammed up and it was the best hanging out with the class, being entertained at 3am by the singapore river by two mad singers/dancers.

good grief soon everyone will be going their separate ways. it kinda sucks. *emo le*

i'll be in canada from the 8th to the 22nd! snowboarding again, meeting friends and family, hopefully some shopping, and snow. so excited :D

and Christmas is coming again. absolutely can't wait.

YES :D :D :D

the first major exam of my entire life is officially over! thank You God!!

the relief is finally beginning to set in. no more guilt-ridden net-surfing, tv-watching, frisbee-playing, stoning.. :D lots of future ahead to dream about and make happen.

but of course it's bittersweet. i know i didn't do my best. despite all the optimistic planning, when it came down to the wire i chickened out. and it's an awful feeling, but something i'll have to live with. if the results are bad, yeah i'll know what the problem is. if the results are good, it'll be a God-given blessing. so.. waiting!!

wish the results were out tomorrow, guess we'll have to be contented with my brother's. haha.

when the As are over i shall make a new blog. yepp.

somebody fling me a frisbee! ultimate frisbee is starstarstarstar (4 stars). so glad the guys asked me to join last week and so glad i sucked up my insecurities and played. hahaha it usually starts off quite bad but by the end of the game i achieve a lower level of dummage and a higher level of usefulness whee! jiahui and miss oon are da bestzzz.

tuition woes.

lately, i've decided it's not that great to keep telling people i don't eat this i don't eat that, so the secondary mission at hand is to train myself to expand my eating repertoire. so far i've downed papaya (with lemon), spicy stuff, and jolly shandy. major achievement! though i think my nose problem's firing up again that that could have something to do with my tastebuds' lack of aggressiveness.

(public declaration of gratitude to frog wong (tanwei's new name for celle but then celle's new name for tanwei is bear tan..) for saving me from immense hunger on tuesday by sharing with me her.. POPTART! =D she managed to catch a lump of it with her mouth, my my we are so adept aren't we!)

is anyone worried about there being a severe lack of jobs when we get out of uni? i mean with all the doomsayers talking about global recession after the sub-prime crisis became an economic meltdown. or maybe the economy will have picked up by then.. just trying to be general-ly-knowledge-able.

sent off uni applications, hope nj's efficient and gets them to the unis asap, i'm dying to know the results of like 2 months of sporadic agonizing and 3am nights!

mm today was supernice and relaxing =D big breakfast at jones the grocer (dempsey hill!). dimsum for light lunch. apricot and almond cheese and crackers for tea. dad's fried prawn mee for dinner. notice the copious amounts of food. oops. i swam!

and finally, prelims were rather disgusting. okay, i deserve it, as usual. scrap the plan and start mugging the week before, aye? STUPID JO, STUPID. totally obliterated any semblance of attaining my B-and-above goal for prelims =( howwwww. and everything still feels like holidays. savemesomebody. just shows that feelings can't be trusted. have to rely on rational thinking. of course the truth of it being NOT holidays is justified, but my belief is that it is holidays so howww?

okay that reminded me of mrs tan and that reminded me of gp and i hate not understanding gp lessons. so inadequate.

jon's psle will be over in a week. lucky duck. oh my brother is officially learning to be a fine gentleman. last sunday we went to 7-eleven across from church and he refused to let me pay for the candaye i wanted to buy. omg!!

my parents said if i don't get a scholarship they'll send me to uk. so tempting, but i don't think i can let them do that (now i know how gladys felt). unless maybe i work and earn half of it. sigh. futures..

CLASSWARMING WAS FUN =D thanks to everyone who came, hope y'all had a good time! the guys played tennis (in the rain?!) and tanwei and zhirong sauna-ed their stuff omg. how come it doesn't melt?? played starwars and nfs carbon on the ps2 haha yihoong and clar are really funny to watch! and jon ended up challenging people (not just in terms of height LOL). mr teo barged into my room and started marking the paper 1 stuff on my desk o.O and we played with sparklers! well the girls did coz the guys felt too above such childish acts. okay the only bad part was it rained so we couldn't hang out in the treehouse thing and had to bbq under umbrellas but personally i <3 the food hahaha. my parents helped a lot a lot and my grandmother and maid too.. and my bro with the entertainment! so yepp. advertising for use of the study room that mer has endorsed! and after A's come and swim okay. I PROMISE I WILL UPLOAD PHOTOS SOME..TIME..SOON...

since the move, my brother and i seem to have grown closer. i was thinking about it the other day and trying to figure out why.. is it coz our rooms are next to each other now? coz we share an exclusive bathroom? haha. maybe it's just coz he's growing older (read: mature / sophisticated) and i'm making a conscious effort to be a better person all round.. dunno. i used to envy those people who had siblings closer to their age, or an older sibling (okay i still wish i had an older sibling), but now i'm realizing how much i love my bro for who he is. we don't fight or argue much (except when i'm moody or he's obstinate) and basically, even though we're not as close as i observe some of my friends to be with their siblings, he's polite, funny (most of the time), extremely smart, generous, thoughtful, and yeah i'm really really blessed to have him as a brother =) so glad i realized this now before we both grew into old geezers. haha

good grief, there are many things to blog about, like baddd --> dabbb and how people actually take my bus now and how i have been on time for school so far (except for one day with legit reason) and how i've been trying to be more friendly (is working so far, though some days are still bad). and my grandparents' grand birthday celebrations within a month of each other, and my new house, and tis' birthday, and class cip and cherry's house and geog trip.

well there i guess i've blogged about them.

4 resolutions for the rest of the year:
- jo will not complain (hard)
- jo will not be late (mega-hard)
- jo will be friendly (difficulty depends on the day)
- jo will study (uhh let's try skydiving shall we)

make that 5, jo will not blog (until something monumental happens).

so goodbye! study hard everyone.

okay like it's the 2 of august today and the only reason i'm here is because i just have to tell everyone how AWESOME rock night was. seriously, pa did a really good job, and the bands were amazing (well most of them), especially 345! and the ex-airbus now captain something something improved tremendously. and mr seow and amos played in the teachers band woohoo. when amos becomes famous, ie famous amos as celle says, i will remind him that he once borrowed my guitar during disney night (was it disney night? crud.) on the flip side, been telling everyone how demoralizing it was hehehe. but anyway all in all, even though i must be mad to be watching rock concerts at a time like this, it was definitely worth it =D i also got to see celle sweep a frog out of the oasis toilet hahaha. oh and mad because before that i went to watch the dark knight with the guys xD it was so fun coz of all the bai moments we had hehe and the movie was great, albeit very twisted and kinda scary o.0 anyway back to studiousland for 4 more weeks and then it'll be holidays and maybe housewarming yay!

8-9 august: for the first time, and i guess the last time, ndc was KICKASS. 04 was high =D ip <3 and the beijing olympics opening ceremony was seriously. spectacular. omg.
